BOARD VACANCY:

We are in need of a new Concessions Chair for the 2014 Season.   Please let me know if you are interested or have questions.    Board members automatically fulfill DIBS requirements and help set the strategy for the BAL Program. You WILL NOT have to be there every night like Mike was. We have restructured the position.

Concessions Chair

Manages All Concessions Stands (BAL, Hickey).  Works with school on any issues with Hickey concessions stand.
Responsible for managing schedule for board members to unlock and lock the concession stand and bathrooms, nightly deposit/money boxes, and validation signature of DIBS workers
Responsible for coordinating all repair and maintenance of concessions equipment, if needed
Responsible for ordering/buying food/drink/supplemental supplies for the concessions
Responsible for setting concessions prices to ensure profit for BAL
Responsible for scheduling/managing DIBS hours for volunteers to clean/organize Concession Stand on BAL Clean-up Day in April

Commitment to 1 hour weekly during “In-Season”, More to set up initial schedule, supplies.

 

PIZZA PARTY and RAFFLE WINNERS

The Winner of the Pizza Party is B&B Technologies of Baseball 11/12 - Coaches Carda/Metz!

The Winner of the Raffle for a free registration up to $360 is Mary Ellen-Bartels!

We raised almost $6600 dollars from the smart cards! While short of our $9,000 goal for the scoreboards, we were able to offset much of that with other fundraising with the raffle, dunk tank, and fan apparel sales. We appreciate each and every one of you that helped with the fundraising efforts. Without your support, would could not continue to make BAL a better program or have better facilities for the kids.

 

SELECT LITE PROGRAMS:

The BAL Board approved a Select Lite Program for 2014 for both Baseball and Softball. The Board has selected the Head Coaches and it is posted on the website. Tryout dates are July 10 and 18 for Softball and July 9 and 17 for Baseball. There are no private tryouts. If your child wants to tryout, you must register by this Sunday, July 7. No walk-up registrations will be allowed. The registration link is on the website www.balonline.org

 

LOST AND FOUND:

Please check lost and found in the concession stand and CLAIM your items. We will donate whatever is left at end of season. A Tee was lost on Field 3. If you have it, please let me know.

 

DIBS:

The LAST of the DIBS have been posted. Grab them if you need some!

We have everything credited through July 2, so please check your status! If you see something not correct, please email Brooke Crone bcrone4@gmail.com and copy Jennifer Sedlacek sedlacekjenn@gmail.com. If you are not complete with your DIBS requirement, the $100 deposit will be charged to your credit card on August 1.

8) If my date gets rained out, do I have to make it up?

A: Yes. Sign up for future Dibs items as that rained out date is unfulfilled. If it is determined that it is impossible to make up the dates, due to lack of future games, the board has the right to waive the remaining needed hours. If there are future Dibs to claim, they must be claimed. The board will not waive hours if there was an opportunity.
