Team will play all in-house games. Games will generally be played on Field 4 at our BAL complex but we do utilize other BAL fields on occasion. Practices will start the beginning of April, and games will be from May 1 through the end of June. You'll generally have 1 practice per week
Teams will play in-house with all games being played at the BAL Complex, Heritage or High School fields. 7u Coach Pitch baseball will introduce a catcher (with gear) and pitching midway through the season. Practices will start the beginning of April, and games will be from May 1 through the end of June. You'll generally have 1 practice per week.
Coach Pitch Softball and Coach Pitch 7U baseball will also have an end-of-the-year tournament that is typically the last weekend of June. Each team will play a minimum of 3 games, a few may play 4 depending on the number of teams in each division.
Generally speaking T-ball is recommended for those that are 4-5 years of age (generally pre-K or younger and some younger and maybe less attentive Kindergartners), while coach pitch is for 6-7 year olds (generally children who are finishing Kindergarten or First Grade). If you have a 5-year old who has not yet attended school, but is attentive, skilled, and more physically mature, then you may choose coach pitch. As this decision is made, please keep in mind the social environment for your child, as well as the number of years before they will be eligible to go to the next step in baseball or softball.
Teams will play in the BAL\EAA (Elkhorn) recreational League. Games are played at the BAL Complex, Heritage or High School fields in Bennington or at an EAA field. Schedules are determined at a scheduling meeting held between representatives of EAA and BAL. Teams may also have the option to play in in and end-of-season tournament depending on the age-level. Teams generally play 15-20 games and the season runs from mid-April through June.
Baseball will combine odd and even years after 8U. Divisions will be as follows:
